Fond of mountains, sun, winterskiing or summer hiking, in an preserved nature ? Come and relax in a small village in the Alps,

near the National Park of Les Ecrins,  20 kms  southeast of Briançon, where the sun shines 300 days a year.

Two "gîtes", named La Blanche and Montbrison, are available in a 1786 dated farmhouse, located in Puy Aillaud , near the family resort Pelvoux-Vallouise.  Puy Aillaud - 1600 m -  , the promontory of La Blanche (2953meters), overlooks Vallouise.  Access is cleared off snow daily in winter  and there are also parking facilities   100 meters away from the gites.  About  30  people live there all year long and there  are 2 farms and 2 restaurants .

Next to Ste Anne Church, the gites have been renovated in the old farmhouse - 60cms wide stonewalls -  in 2011.

           A wooden staircase leads to La Blanche  (first floor). The windows and balcony , exposed to the west,  dominate the village place and fountain.  Another balcony, to the south, offers a 30 kms wide view from le col de La Pousterle to the ski resort Puy St Vincent and Montbrison,  embrasing distant  peaks   over  L'Argentière- La - Bessée and Embrun.  It is large enough to allow a lovely breakfast with a fantastic view. This gîte is perfect for 2 people  and can also accomodate 2 extra people in a sofa-bed.

          The gîte Montbrison can accomodate  5 or 6 people  in  3 bedrooms (one additional bed available). It has  separate stairs and a  big hallway with a wardrobe.

         The 2 gîtes can be reunited  by the balcony    to accomodate 9 people  altogether.  A wooden pannel can also  be used to part it into  2;  A baby bed is also available.

In winter, the Pelvoux-Vallouise ski resort is open. Equipments are only 100 meters away. The ski-lift "Ajourdines" and the ski-track  "Anémones" will take you  to a  large ski area. Puy St Vincent  has about 15 ski-lifts and country skiing tracks can be found in Vallouise.

The whole Massif des Ecrins belongs to ski-lovers.

all shops in Vallouise: bakeries, grocery, pharmacy, restaurants, bookshop, sportswear, , ski rental, automat, hairdresser, laundraumat, post office,  medical center. Weekly market and local specialties on thursdays and  supermarket in L'Argentière (15 kms).
